Flawless

I have to chuckle at myself sometimes.  My wonderful little 4-year-old is doing a terrific job on memorizing verses.  One of them is Proverbs 30:5, "(1.)Every word of God is flawless; (2)he is a shield to those who take refuge in him."  I came across this verse today as I sat down to have my quiet time.  And it struck me - how do I view God's word?  If it is flawless, and I believe that, then why do I doubt God sometimes?  I asked my boy what he thought about the verse.
"I think it means goodness," he says.  In the dictionary one definition says that goodness means '(1)excellence of quality' and another says it means '(2)generosity'.  I would say he defined the verse quite well.

Psalm 1:1-3  "Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked... but his delight is in the law of the Lord.  On his law he meditates day and night..."
James 4:8  "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
Ephesians 2:19  "So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God."
Psalm 23:3  "He restores my soul.  He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Isaiah 64:8  "Yet, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay and you are our potter; and we are all the work of your hand."
Psalm 116:5  "The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion."
Luke 11:9  "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."
John 3:16  "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son.  That whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."
Proverbs 21:30  "There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord."

I have faith and assurance through the Lord.  The Word is alive and I can completely trust in what my God has said.
